RADIO 80 SERIE ORO - M80 RADIO
Con el nombre de Cadena 80 empezó a emitir el 6 de julio de 1981, con una red de 19 emisoras repartidas por todo el territorio español. Su accionista mayoritario era EDICA (Editorial Católica), dirigida por Luis Ángel de la Viuda.
En 1984 fue adquirida por Antena 3 Radio, adoptando el nombre de Radio 80 Serie Oro, con una red de 16 emisoras repartidas por todo el territorio español, reconvertida en radiofórmula musical especializada en oldies.
M80 Radio surge en 1992 tras adquirir el Grupo PRISA la cadena musical Radio 80 Serie Oro (propiedad de Antena 3 Radio), y fusionarla con su radiofórmula Radio Minuto, para crear una nueva cadena musical orientada a un público más adulto que 40 Principales.
M80 Serie Oro inició sus emisiones en enero de 1993, siendo su primer director José Ramón Pardo. En 1994 pasó a denominarse definitivamente M80 Radio.
